Dine in Style at Ace Hotel & Suites' Sky Garden

Popular for its 5-star hotel accommodations and its unique therapeutic water spa, Ace Hotel and Suites give travellers and vacationing families more reasons to enjoy life.

This twin-tower Hotel and premium residential suites located at the heart of Kapitolyo, Pasig, now offers an 8-course, fine dining experience to guests at a special discounted promo rate of only P 899.00 per person until November 30, 2014.

The Sky Garden that serves the complimentary breakfast buffet to hotel guests transforms to a classy dinner place in the evening, giving patrons a superb view of the Bonifacio Global City and Laguna de Bay skylines.

I got  lucky to try out this new offering last October 16th.  I was made to choose between a white and red wine once seated, as they serve the first course: Garlic Bread with Mushroom Antipasto.

Elegant and delicious, it was perfect for an antipasto plate. The portions were large, the food was tasty.
This combination of Shrimp and Green Curry is to die for!   The Sweet coconut milk and green curry paste blended well to good aroma. It wasn't spicy at all. The asparagus stalks and sliced cherry tomatoes gave added crunch to this dish.

They served soup next. I chose the clear Seafood Consomme over the Cream of Pumpkin and Carrot Soup.

Fresh Salad drizzled with Red Wine Vinaigrette followed suit. I so love how the dressing balanced out the flavors of nuts, Bleu cheese, cherry tomatoes and mixed greens. It tasted divine!

They served Lime Sherbet with Aloe Vera Juice as a palate cleanser just before the main course.

I had a hard time choosing what to get for my main dish. It was a tough decision going for Rib-eye Steak with Sautéed Arugula and Mashed Potato over Prawns with Salted Herring Pasta, Corniche Chicken with Organic Wild Rice Pilaf, Pan-grilled U.S Porkloin with Sauteed Diced Potatoes, or Chilean Seafood Risotto.
For dessert, I chose Molten Lava Cake ala Mode over Creme Brulee and Tiramisu to cap my satisfying feast.

You too can enjoy this culinary goodness at Sky Garden Ace Hotel and Suites. Don't miss out on the Fine Dining Set Meal promotional price offer until end of November.

51Talk lets you Make the Choice

51Talk, the premiere online English school in China and now in the Philippines, recently introduced "Make the Choice" program directed at Filipinos looking for an alternative career that gives them the option to work from home with flexible working hours.

Since locals are known to be very proficient in English, online teaching is a very viable career which can be done by almost anyone in the country.

“Having an online classroom allows instructors to create a schedule around their daily routine. Plus, they don’t have to worry about a long commute. This gives them even more time to spend with their families, which we noticed is a priority for most Filipinos”, says 51Talk COO and co-founder, Shu Ting.

51Talk also introduced three ambassadors to help inspire Filipinos – Delamar Arias, Michele Gumabao and Jim Paredes.

With the 51Talk, women will be able to choose a future for themselves on their own terms and one that would make them happy. Moms may now work at home and still be hands-on in molding their children’s young minds. More homemakers will be able to help guide and support their kids through the complexities of growing up without any worry that they are missing out on anything by working. Make the Choice program integrates language and technology and thus gives a perfect fit for Filipinos looking for a career.

DJ Delamar Arias joins the 51Talk team in understanding how mothers would like a flexible schedule. A mother herself, she believes that each individual holds in his hand the power to change lives and earn well by using their English-speaking abilities.

Athlete and wellness advocate Michele Gumabao uses her skills to teach others that one can achieve whatever he sets his mind to through perseverance and patience. She constantly encourages her fans to finish their studies and relentlessly chase after their dreams.

Jim Paredes, Filipino musician, writer and educator, engages learners through workshops and classes. He uses Social Media to educate and empower. Professionals, students, fellow artists and educators look up to Jim because of his ability to remain consistent in his craft.

Passionate about learning and creativity, he encourages learners young and old alike to pursue their dreams and confidently go in the direction they’ve always dreamed of.
About 51Talk

51Talk was founded in 2011 by Huang Jia-jia and Shu Ting. It opened its first 51Talk office in the Philippines with less than 30 people on the team when the demand for learning the English language continued to increase. It wasn’t long after the Manila site was established that another office in Baguio opened.

By the first quarter of 2013, the number of learners reached two hundred thousand, generating a remarkable increase in income. 51Talk Shanghai opened at the end of 2013, resulting in the enhancement of sales in the south west China market.

As the leading online ESL company in China and the Philippines, the team introduced the 51Talk Club last July 2014 as the first offline experience center of the company, which set the O2O business mode for 51Talk. Today 51Talk continues to provide quality education and career stability to learners with more than 1,000 e-Educators across the Philippines.

Jollibee launches 20th MaAga ang Pasko in South Luzon

Jollibee is celebrating a jollier, happier early Christmas festivity with the launching of its 20th "Maaga ang Pasko" campaign.

2014 marks the 20th year of Maaga ang Pasko campaign and Jollibee will be distributing toys and books donations from customers and JFC employees to select beneficiaries via 20 caravans across the country this December.

None other than original Jollibee Toy Scout, Aga Muhlach, graced the Maaga ang Pasko donation kicks off drive at Canlubang after the said program was formally launched in Quezon City and North Luzon.

Aga Muhlach invites all to share in the gift-giving advocacy for kids which he started 20 years ago. Old toys and books may be dropped off at any Jollibee branch nationwide, plus in the US, HongKong and Vietnam branches.

The Lumen Anima Chorale serenaded the guests with all-time favorite Christmas songs. After the joyous caroling, the Jollibee Canlubang branch crowd were presented with upbeat, re-arranged version of the Maaga ang Pasko theme song.

Aga then opened his annual toy and book drive by being the first to drop his personal donations in the Maaga ang Pasko collection box. This was then followed by the Jolly Toy Scouts members who went around the room to collect toys and books from customers who trooped to the event.

Join in this advocacy by donating new or pre-loved toys and books to Maaga ang Pasko boxes located in stores nationwide, US, HongKong and Vietnam.

Your kind generosity will surely make this year’s Christmas season the jolliest ever for children nationwide.

Visit www.jollibee.com.ph and click on the Maaga ang Pasko microsite to learn how to make your donation to the 20th "Maaga ang Pasko" annual toy and book drive.
