Tree Top Adventure - Experience The Extreme Conference

Press Release

The Tree Top Adventure will hold its very 1st press conference and media tour in which over twenty participants from the TV, online, radio and print industries will attend this February 21, 2015.

A short program with a question and answer portion will take place first before the tour, in which the participants can try out all the rides.  This includes the motorized team building facilities--the first in the Philippines. Tree Top Adventure’s CEO, Ms. Ma. Camille O. Montejo, will grace the activity.

Tree Top Adventure features six activities: two slow paced and four fast paced activities for the thrill seekers who want to experience extreme adventure. One slow-paced activity is the Trekking adventure in which you’ll be toured within the area. The tour guide will be introducing local plants and trees and share interesting facts about them.

If you want to see the forest and appreciate nature from the top of the trees, you will surely love Canopy ride. The entire ride has a hanging bridge and five stations which can carry three persons at a time in which you’ll be transferring from one tree to another. For heart pounding activities, one might want to try the Superman Ride, a horizontal motorized zipline in which you’ll be soaring back and forth in less than a minute.

To quench your thirst for adrenaline rush, try out the parachute fall---a ride in which you’ll be propelled upwards, slowly, and just when you’re 75 feet above the ground, you’ll be let loose for a suddenly fall. If you literally want to surf in the air, you could try the Silver Surfer, an inclined zipline that swings you back and forth between two trees. The Tree Drop, on the other hand, let's you experience the extreme! You will be suspended 60 feet above the ground, mission impossible style and be dropped in a matter of seconds.

Do try out Tree Top Adventure at the JEST Area, Upper Mau Cubi Point Subic Bay Freeport Zone or at the Camp John Hay Baguio City. Baguio City branch will also hold its press conference and media tour on March 14, 2015.

A Hefty Lunch at Outback Steakhouse

On top of uniquely seasoned steaks for which Outback Steakhouse is famous for, it serves a variety of chicken, seafood and pasta dishes that are a sensation to anyone's palette.

Once seated, we were served complimentary, dark rye bread with with light cream cheese. Bushman's Bread is soft inside out and sweetened with honey.

BBQ Pulled Pork Fries (P 369) are French Fries topped with bits of pork, melted cheesed and a drizzle of ranch dressing. It makes a great appetizer. I love the burst of flavors it creates in my mouth.

Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla is absolutely the best! The whole tortilla has a good amount of melted cheese on the bottom tortilla. It is stuffed with grilled chicken breast, sauteed mushrooms, and bacon. It is served with honey mustard sauce.

Fish and Chips (P 449) is battered and deep-fried fish fillet served with Aussie Fries and homemade tartar sauce.

BBQ Chicken Half (P 375) is roasted half-sized chicken served with Aussie Fries and Coleslaw. The BBQ sauce glaze is perfect on its juicy meat.

Blue Bay Rib Eye is a premium cut steak that comes with rice and sweet potato side dishes. The Rib Eye Steak is tender and succulent. Steak lovers like myself will love its pleasing, rich flavor.

Creamy Seafood Pasta is a huge serving of fettucine in a creamy sauce with prawns. It tasted similar to "carbonara" but a lot richer in flavor. The pasta was cooked in perfection!

The menu indicates several choices for drink (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails) and desserts as well.

Chocolate Thunder from Down Under (P329) tasted heavenly! The warm moist cake comes in mixed with nuts, giving it a lovely nutty texture plus a lush topping of  chocolate sauce, ice-cream and cream. I seldom go for sweets after a meal but this is something I couldn't resist!

Thank you Marj and Jonel Uy for hosting a hefty NomNom lunch!

Awesome Fare at Orange Whisk

I was surprised to find out that Orange Whisk Restaurant and Patisserie is actually a big chow down restaurant behind what appeared to be a small facade in front. It can easily seat 70-80 guests.

This restaurant had its soft-opening last January 2, 2015 and is actually the second the branch. Orange Whisk offers a wide variety of western delicacies, a slew of Filipino comfort food with a twist plus pastries.

Ceasar Salad provided the perfect appetizer for the degustation experience that would follow. I love the Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the crisp romaine-lettuce, bacon bits and croutons. It tasted awesome!

Next in line was Garlic Portabella and Bacon Parmesan Cream Sauce Pasta (P 280). I love the flavor it gives.

Kare-Kare with Bagnet (P 310) is deconsctructed Kare-Kare. The vegetables, sauce and Bagnet are arranged and presented separately. Using a slow-cooked crispy pork belly instead of the usual tripe or oxtail makes it more appealing. Bagnet is made tender and soft inside through slow cooking. I love the way it blends well with the creamy saucc.

Laing with Bagnet (P 310) is Orange Whisk's take on this Bicol dish. The dried Taro (gabi) leaves, stalks and root crops were cooked with coconut milk plus ginger, giving it a savory, creamy flavor. Biting into the crispy Bagnet gives it added texture.

Kitayama Wagyu Burger Steak (P 390) is served with mashed potato. The soft and juicy wagyu meat is garnished with sliced mushrooms and thick gravy.

Seared Wagyu Saikoro Steak (P 698) is a popular, Izakaya-style Japanese Steak. This diced beefsteak is pan-fried topped with greens and ponze soy sauce, giving it a subtle flavor.

Orange Whisk is also known for its chewy buns and delectable desserts.

I so love the Mango Graham Cake, Oreo Cheesecake and the Red Velvet Cake! These were more than just eye candies--each tasted heavenly! Orange Whisk is truly a haven for the sweet tooth!

Your family will surely love the gastronomic experience Orange Whisk has to offer. Try it out soon.
