Liza Soberano at the Chosen Children Village Foundation



As children, we were taught important moral lessons through bedtime stories and fables that imparted to us. One of the most famous stories is that of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which taught us the value of respect for other people’s property, self-control, and responsibility for our own actions. We learned that our how we treat others have its consequences.

The wards of the Chosen Children Village Foundation (CCVF) learned these lessons and more through stories told by teen sweetheart Liza Soberano in a recently-concluded storytelling event held at Cake City, Manila.

Goldilocks, the country’s number one bakeshop, mobilized its volunteers to host the event for CCVF, which was handpicked by Liza as beneficiary. Aside from the enjoyable storytelling and reading activities, CCVF also received new books and a cash donation from Goldilocks.

The CCVF is a is a home for mentally and/or physically challenged children, located along Km. 49 in Lalaan 2, Silang, Cavite. The village is a haven where abandoned children who are physically and mentally challenged, find a home for life.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at RACKS


The Oktoberfest tradition that began on October 12, 1810 as a wedding celebration of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, is now celebrated across the world. The modern-day German festival is celebrated internationally with alcohol consumption as an important part of its activities.

Now you don't have to go to  Germany to participate in the world's largest annual festival to have a taste of Bavarian specialties like sausages that go especially well with the festival beer.



At Racks, you can tantalize you tastebuds with their sausages paired with bottles of  Kaiser German beer (P 160). Their house-made sausages come in 4 flavors----Hungarian, Louisiana Hot Links, Garlic and Cheese plus Chorizo.   A Sausage Plate (P 345) comes with your choice of 2 sausage variants plus German Potato Salad.

Festival Mall launches Unity in Pink

Breast cancer is considered as the top most cause of mortality among Filipino women. In fact, one in thirteen Filipino women is diagnosed with breast cancer, Sad thing is, most of these cases are discovered too late due lack of awareness. Despite advances in technology, misconceptions about its symptoms and treatment to this day  remains.

To help push early detection and awareness for the disease, Festival Mall launched “Unity in Pink”, a month-long breast cancer awareness campaign last October 3, 2016 at the River Park Activity Court. Unity in Pink marks Festival Mall’s Pink October campaign. Now on its 3rd year, #UnityInPink celebrates women's health and awareness for breast cancer.







Unity in Pink partners with the Asian Hospital Charities, Gender and Development (GAD) Office of Muntinlupa City plus women organizations such as ICanServe Foundation, Project Pink and Zonta Club of Alabang to push awareness campaign in Muntinlupa City.  "Information is key in conquering breast cancer," says Lani Eusebio of ICanServe Foundation.

With their concerted efforts, the movement campaign had lined up a lot of activities to raise awareness and the much needed funds for breast cancer patients to help them face adversity with courage, determination, and positivity. It also hopes to inspire others to make a difference in the life of a breast cancer survivor in the local community.

Unity in Pink will be a month-long event featuring discounts, wellness activities, breast cancer awareness talks, free consultations, and other activities for women to promote health.

The ICanServe Foundation, in cooperation with the Muntinlupa GAD will launch “Ating Dibdibin”, a breast cancer awareness talk on October 8, 10AM,  Mossimo partners with Festival Mall for the Fashionably Pink fashion show on October 23, 3PM.


Melissa de Leon-Joseph, President of Project Pink Cancer Support Group Inc., invites everyone to join in the stage zero community forum dubbed as "Refuelling on the Cancer Journey" slated on October 21, 2016.

Trina Biazon, head of Gender and Development (GAD), encourages everyone to support the #BreastCancer advocacy by purchasing paracord keychains (P 200), bracelets (P 200) and brooches (P 150) to support the cause. Proceeds will help fund the activities of Stage Zero by Project Pink, I Can Serve Foundation and the Asian Hospital Charities Inc. for breast cancer patients.

BPI-PhilamLife Assurance Corporation kicks off Bancassurance Month

Earlier today, BPI-PhilamLife Assurance Corporation kicked off  Bancassurance Month this October during the unveiling of the new BPI-PhilamLife Makati Building along Ayala Avenue in Makati City.




Surendra Menon, CEO of BPI Philam Life Assurance Inc., led the month-long celebration, which aims to educate Filipinos on bancassurance and the many advantages it gives insurers and customers.
