Going Loco on Yellow Cab Pizza

It's lunch time again and I was craving for some pizza. Yellow Cab at the Harbor Point Mall seemed enticing so we decided to go in for a fix.

We ordered the Dear Darla pizza which is thin pizza that you roll up with alfalfa sprouts and arugula. It was the first time for me to try it. The pizza served was from freshly-made dough. The cheese was just perfect, not overbearing and greasy. I love how it tasted but I personally think that the toppings were scarce.

Giligans Budget Meals

Gilligan’s serves the best food in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. For hungry jetsetters, it offers a menu that includes sets of delectable appetizers, sumptuous entrĂ©es, and sweet desserts. And mind you, each food order is good for sharing. If you are eating alone, then this restaurant is not advisable.

The calamari was perfectly-made! It was lightly breaded and fried just like how you would find it in any italian restaurant.
I love their sisig that I helped myself to several helpings! This dish had crunchy pork bits, onions, peppers plus mayonnaise mixed in.  My daughter loves the pork barbeque that comes with adobong kangkong stem side dish.

Tenderloin Salpicao, Chicken Lollipop, Calamares Fritos, Spicy Squid, Nachos with Cheese Dip, Kilawin, Sizzling Mixed Seafoods and Grilled Bangus Belly are among their best sellers. Good food, good ambience and good service! This is all I have to say about Gilligan’s!

Food Trip at Mang Inasal

All of us in the family like Mang Inasal are attracted to Mang Inasal's unlimited rice and soup promo aside from its affordable Mang Inasal barbecued chicken and other treats. We are all hefty eaters and of course, we love steaming rice to go with it.
Since Inasal is the Ilonggo term for chicken barbecue, their specialty is barbecued chicken. With its distinctively Filipino ambiance, anyone can eat chicken barbecue the traditional way---using bare hands. Mang Inasal wraps their food in banana leaves and uses the typical Filipino soy sauce, calamansi, vinegar with red peppers to spice up the food served. Dipping the sweet and tangy chicken in it completes the satisfying dining experience. I'm sure everyone will agree.
For less than 100 pesos, Mang Inasal's Paborito Meal with all the rice we can eat is really a steal for the super-hungry team that we are. We superlove to order the barbecued chicken leg and barbecued pecho that is superbly tasty and not dry. My only complaint is that the chicken barbecue is usually charred. I do believe that Mang Inasal can look into ways of serving the barbecue chicken quickly without compromising its quality.

Another Mang Inasal favorite of mine is the Dinuguan with Puto. We usually order this as a side dish and my daughter loves it! Just like us, many people flock the restaurant during lunch time. There is oftem a long queue of people waiting for their turn to eat Mang Inasal's tender meat.

A Quick Lunch at Gerry's Grill

I love dining out at Gerry’s Grill because it offers a menu packed with fresh Filipino food favorites that are cooked, or grilled at a reasonable budget.
We came in for some quick lunch at the Harbor Point Mall branch and ordered combo meals. I have chosen the Palabok with Grilled Pork while my chum went for the Pancit Bihon with Lechon Kawali.

My friend and I also ordered the sizzling sisig. And boy, it was such a treat!

These Combo Saver Meals were priced at 135 pesos.  Not bad for a hefty lunch, right?

I have been at Gerry's Grill a couple of times at different branches and I notice that the food never changes. It is also interesting to note that you can suggest to have your dish prepared according to your taste. I like mine a little bit saltier.

Among their best sellers are Inihaw na Pusit (Grilled Calamares), Garlic Adobo Beef Ribs, Garlic Adobo Shreds, Crispy Pata, Beef Kare-Kare, Beef Kaldereta, Inihaw na Manok (Grilled Chicken) and Nilagang Bulalo.   You will be spending around 160-200 per dish and it's all worth it!
