Modern Spanish Cuisine at Las Flores

A lot of people crave for the delicious flavors of authentic Spanish Cuisine, and for a good reason! Spanish cuisine is taking the world by storm because of its vibrant, intense and fresh flavors. And Las Flores prides itself for using superior quality ingredients in its food offerings indicative of centuries-old recipes, tested techniques and methods.

Las Flores (The Flowers) opened in July 30, 2012. It offers new Spanish cuisines with Catalan-Mediterranean influence. The restaurant gives a homey feel with framed floral and herb illustrations, wooden table and chairs with mix-matched cushions.

And I was glad to be part of bloggers invited to sample Las Flores' modern culinary offerings.
Fresh, sliced bread served in a wooden basket
Tartar de Atun (P 395) - is Tuna tartar with pickles capers crispy onion, calamansi mayonnaise plus raw egg on top.
Salmon and Salmon (P 595) - is smoked salmon topped with salmon caviar.  It has ricotta cheese truffle, oil vinaigrette and served atop crispy bread pieces. The flavors blend well together, creating a notable gastronomic treat.
Manchego is a delicious Spanish hard cheese made of sheep's milk.  It was served with jam and crispy bread.
Chorizo Ibérico (P 315), a Spanish dry-cured sausage which originated from the Iberian Peninsula, is a popular Spanish gastronomic fare. It can be eaten cooked or sliced directly from a piece. I like its distinctive flavor. It was so tasty and so it isn't surprising to know that it was one of the first "tapas" offered in the early Spanish restaurants. It comes with two slices of Pan con Tomate (Crispy Bread with Sauteed Tomatoes).
Jamon Ibérico on the other hand, is a light tasting ham.  The perfectly-cured ham has a mellow flavor which makes it a good appetizer paired with crunchy bread.
Parillada de Verduras con Salsa Romesco (P 425) is a great way to enjoy the fresh produce. These Spanish grilled vegetable dish has green asparagus, eggplant, shitake mushrooms, red bell pepper, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, barb led potatoes, whole garlic and white onions. This healthy vegetable dish  is a good match on a tapas meal!
Croquetas de Chorizo (P 215) are deep-fried, golden brown croquettes. The mashed potatoes with filled with Spanish Chorizo and rolled in flour and breadcrumbs. A definite must-try!
Gambas al Ajillo (P 395) is Spanish-Style Garlic Shrimp. This serving of light, fresh shrimps makes a good starter to stimulate your appetite. It is simply delicious!
Secreto Ibérico (P 995) - Stir-fried pork riblets served with humus, chickpeas sauce and basil extra virgin olive oil. The 'secreto' is a specific cut (pork equivalent of the skirt steak) of the acorn-fed Iberian pigs known for its lean meat. Pork meat comes lightly marbled with fat that results to a rich flavor when cooked.
Angus and Foie minis (P 825) - Delicious Australian beef tenderloin topped with foie. The duck liver further enhances the tender meat's flavors.

Estrellados with French Fries and Gambas (P395) - Spanish dish with  sunny side up eggs, potato wedges, diced chorizo and gambas which come up as an interesting combination that is suprisingly delectable.

Paella de Marisco #21 (P 545) - This is a seafood variant of Spain's most famous festive rice meal served right in its iconic pan.  It is a festive and colorful dish because each paella is a treated as work of art, not as a formula. Fresh prawns, clams, mussels and scallops are mixed with the al dente arborio rice. This immensely savory rice pot is something you shouldn't pass up on.
Chocolatisimo (P 195) - is a chocolate fondant with melted chocolate inside. It is served with ice cream.

Flan de Arandanos con Nata (P 275) - blackberries egg flan with cream

Pastel de manzana asada al horno (P 275) - is chewy apple cake with slices of baked apple.

Churros con chocolate (P 195) - Churros is delicious Spanish fritters served with warm chocolate and scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side. For me, it is the creamy chocolate dip that puts this sweet fried treats over the top!

The also have a wide array of smoothies, cocktails and coffee mixes to go with meals.
