I love going to Spanish restaurants as most entertain my senses and not just my taste buds. And my visit to Rekados Cafe and Restaurante is no different.
A little over a year, this Spanish restaurant is a hidden gem that will surely go places.
I love the vintage feel the landscapes create. High-arched windows with wrought-iron window grills, thick stone walls, beautiful woodworks, bricks and iron chandeliers are lovely to look at.
Arches and beautiful tileworks adorn the patios.
Guest have the option to dine in al fresco style.
And now, we proceed to the gastronomic tour with recipes that have been preserved for many generations by the Custodio family.
Here are the delectable food we feasted on:
Paella Valenciana (P 475) tasted heavenly! This sticky rice was loaded with shrimps, clams, mussels, chicken meat strips, chorizo and topped with eggs plus green peas.
Callos Solo meal (P 285) - This tripe delicacy is extra tender. The ox tripe is easy to chew on aad this makes eating this dish pleasurable. It comes with rice and veggie side dish.
Grilled Salmon (P 285) was perfectly done and came in full flavors. Its white had hints of lemon and garlic, which was a perfect complement to rich salmon fillets.
The Gambas had a touch of Spanish paprika and garlic. It was truly a classic Spanish tapa.
We also had Pollo Al Ajillo (Spanish Chicken Garlic) and Crispy Kare-Kare.
We had delicious Churros in Spanish Tablea to go with our hot beverages to cap our wonderful meal experience.
Don't forget to check out Balai Pasalubong and Milk Station when you visit the place.

ReplyDelete.... and it's in Cavite :( I love Spanish food. Would love to visit this resto one day since the place and the food looks inviting :)
ReplyDeleteI've just read a food blogpost from our fellow mommy blogger. I've mentioned that I love restos with good ambience and this one nailed it too. As an archi/designer, the first thing that catches my attention is good design, next is the food presentation because how everything looks like affect my taste bud's judgment on the food they serve :)
ReplyDeleteYum, everything looks delicious, I'm sure i'll enjoy eating here specially it's in Tagaytay :-)
