In a joint effort to combat water pollution in Manila Bay, SM Prime Holdings (SM Prime), handed over a state-of-the-art catamaran trash boat to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
DENR received the 30-foot catamaran boat last January 31, along with essential navigation and safety equipment plus necessary cleaning tools. The trash boat will be operated by the DENR Metropolitan Environmental Office - South Zone and is expected to bolster the agency's capacity to mitigate water pollution and preserve the vital marine ecosystem.
The 30-foot catamaran is designed to efficiently collect and carry up to 1 ton of waste.

This donation strengthens the DENR's arsenal in its multifaceted approach to cleaning Manila Bay.
