Y2 Residence Hotel is a 21-storey building located on a one-way street parallel to Makati Avenue. It has a modern, minimalist Japanese theme that appeals to the young crowd. Guests may choose from three stylish room types that includes studios one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment units, all equipped with kitchenettes.
The courteous frontdesk staff assisted us as we entered the hotel by 4PM. I signed in the form and then were handed our keycards to room 1605 and WIFI passwords in no time.
The hotel room door opens to a dining table located between the bed and the kitchen. The induction cooktop, microwave and percolator is a plus factor. There are bowls, frying pans and utensils for us to prepare our food.
At the back of the kitchen is the bathroom, with walk-in shower. The modern bathroom has black and white accent tiles.
I love our De Luxe Studio unit! Room decor comes in black, gray and white with stylish furniture. The handpainted bedroom wall adds a dramatic feel. It has a balcony for a panoramic view of the area.
Other amenities include a phone unit, flat-screen TV with cable, safety box, mini bar, slippers, toiletries and complimentary bottled water.
The king size bed was sublime with its silky, smooth comforter, and fluffy pillows. I can stay in the bed all day!
The complimentary buffet breakfast at the lobby restaurant is a big spread that includes main dishes (Lemon Fish Fillet, Roasted Chicken and Beef Bulgogi), an assortment of bread with cheese, soup (Potato Soup and Congee), salad, cereals, and fruits. There is an omelette station as well plus unlimited refills of coffee and juices.
It is truly a relaxing place to pamper oneself for the long weekend. It feels more like home. We will be back soon.
