LG brand ambassador James Deakin expounds on why the award-winning OLED TVs make the best holiday gifts |
Filipinos love the holidays, and so LG combined this with the brand's mission of giving back to the community.
And LG Philippines leverages on this to make the festive season sparkle and shine for everyone.
LG's first gift for the community comes is its partnership with Netflix.
During the event, Netflix unveiled its holiday film headliner, Klaus. The trailer for the destined Christmas classic were screened using LG’s OLED TVs. Klaus is a 2D animated movie that harkens to the old Christmas shows we have come to love.
Legendary actor J. K. Simmons provides the voice for the titular Klaus, a reclusive carpenter whom Jesper discovers living alone in a cabin, where he makes his own handmade toys. Netflix hopes that Klaus becomes a Christmas tradition that’s destined to be replayed every holiday season for the years to come. LG also invited Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) to share their thoughts on the use of 2D animation in Klaus, and what makes LG OLED TVs the best platforms to view it on.
" With LG, we guarantee an unparalleled, memorable cinematic viewing experience. Through non-stop innovation, LG has been able to offer the best that technology has to offer, be it through our NanoCell or OLED TV's, or with the use of our ThinQ Artificial Intelligence. We want content creators such as ACP to have access to this technology so that they can pay it forward and share it with the community through their art.
Working in the animation industry, innovations in technology are important to us. To be able to compete with other animators from around the world, we need to be at the top. LG's Al-optimized picture quality that boasts leading clarity, sharpness, detail, and brightness is as advanced as you can get. This really helps us in harnessing the best of our abilities," shared Rene Misa, Executive Director of the ACPI.
LG Philippines also has committed to donate entertainment systems and home appliances worth more than 1 Million pesos to the Shelter of Hope. For each sale of an LG product, a portion goes towards furnishing the Shelter of Hope. Shelter of Hope is currently building a new home for their resident children who are cancer patients, and these gifts will provide them the much needed Christmas cheer.
Aside from sale proceeds going to the Shelter of Hope, OLED and NanoCell TV purchases from today until December 15th come with a raffle ticket.
So join in the raffle for a chance to win 1 of 10 LG TVs. The Grand Winner will take home a 65” OLED TV on December 16, 2019.
