Seasoned investors to bankroll Potential Startups through The Final Pitch Season 4

The Final Pitch  returns for its fourth season on CNN Philippines this September 2019. The Philippines’ first and only business reality TV show connects aspiring entrepreneurs with some of the most established businessmen in the country.

“We are excited for this season’s run. We can’t wait for our entrepreneurs to grow their businesses with the help of our investor-judges,” says the show’s host and creator, John Aguilar. “Every season is different and has something new to offer. Our investors are looking forward to discovering our country’s newest set of rising entrepreneurs and hear their pitches and amazing stories.”

The Final Pitch begins with a screening; candidates are given a chance to present their business concepts to the panel of investor-judges.  Selected participants then proceed to a boot camp with mentoring sessions, and challenges that allow for investors to gain insights into the character of the entrepreneurs. By the end of the season, the contestants present  their “Final Pitch” to the investor judges, who in turn, will negotiate their final offer to the entrepreneurs. Both parties may or may not close a deal based on the offers.

The Final Pitch gives the Filipino audience a chance to learn from the investors and mentors in the show at the same time.

Investor-judges  set to return include Chief Executive Officer and founder of Mega Global Corporation William Tiu Lim. Mr. William Tiu Lim, who built the sardine behemoth from scratch, is passionate about mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs until they become successful in their endeavors. He believes that a mentor would be important in a start-up's early years, and he wants to become just that.

Like in the previous season, he is  on the lookout for different businesses to diversify his investments and learn about other industries.

Meanwhile, tech-driven businessmen such as co-founding owner of Philippines AirAsia Congressman Mikee Romero, blockchain evangelist and Tagcash Ltd. founder Mark Vernon, and president and CEO of Baskin Robins Philippines Michael Dargani seek ventures that utilize technology in retail, food, education, power, and the financial technology space.

Also returning to the show is season 2 millennial investor-judge Mica Tan, CEO of MFT Group of Companies. She seeks to create value in companies through capital, strategic insight, global relationships and operational support.  All are optimistic in enticing more enterprising youths from Mindanao and the Visayas to take part in the challenge.

Founder)

Mentors tapped for the upcoming season include Joel Santos of Thames International Business School, Junie del Mundo of EON The Stakeholder Relations Group, and Mark Gorriceta of Gorriceta Law. “If the previous season’s entrepreneurs who joined the show are any indication, we can expect more sophisticated and mature startups coming into the fold as they see The Final Pitch as a legitimate way to raise funding for their next stage of growth. If they are exciting businesses with potential to create exponential impact at scale, we want them on the show” adds Aguilar.

Applications for The Final Pitch are open up to July 8, 2019. Rising entrepreneurs can fill out and submit an online entry form via TheFinalPitch.ph/application and submit their 1-minute pitch video. The fourth season premieres September, 2019 on CNN Philippines.

  14. Oh wow, meron na rin pala tayong ganito! I chanced upon a competition just like this one on TV but US ata yun. Ang galing that great ideas can be implemented now through willing investors. That's how we promote originality and innovation, kasi a lot of people with great ideas cannot fund these ideas. They need help.
