Holistic Integrative Care Center offers Prolozone to treat Frozen Shoulders

My immediate family and I had transferred to a new home in Manila come May 2018.  I had  made several errands  and adjustments since then that finally took a toil on my health.

In a few days, I had pain in my left shoulder.  I continued on with moving and carrying boxes about and soon the pain got even worse.  It was so  painful that my left arm was rendered immobile.  I even lost my strong grip using my left hand. What I dismissed as an ordinary shoulder pain turned out to be much worse.

The achy pain in the shoulder muscles that wrap around the top of my arm, do   get worse at night!

I visited HICC- Holistic Integrative Care Center for something that I thought was alarming! It turned out to be a case of frozen shoulder.

Thanks to Dr. Imelda Edodollon, Holistic Integrative Care Center's Medical Director, for giving me immediate relief for Adhesive capsulitis. She took away my worries and my chronic pain that restricts motion in my left arm and shoulders! I had my first Ozone Therapy coupled with Prolozone.

Adhesive capsulitis (also known as frozen shoulder) is a painful and disabling disorder of unclear cause in which the shoulder capsule, the connective tissue surrounding the glenohumeral joint of the shoulder, becomes inflamed and stiff, greatly restricting motion and causing chronic pain.

Symptoms

Frozen shoulder typically develops slowly, and in three stages. Each stage can last a number of months.

Freezing stage. Any movement of your shoulder causes pain, and your shoulder's range of motion starts to become limited.

Frozen stage. Pain may begin to diminish during this stage. However, your shoulder becomes stiffer, and using it becomes more difficult.

Thawing stage. The range of motion in your shoulder begins to improve.

Treatment for frozen shoulder involves range-of-motion exercises and, sometimes, corticosteroids and numbing medications injected into the joint capsule. In a small percentage of cases, arthroscopic surgery may be indicated to loosen the joint capsule.

My second treatment for frozen shoulder at HICC- Holistic Integrative Care Center proved to be even better. Motion in my stiff left shoulder had greatly improved. Dr Meddie Edodollon is the first and only medical practitioner   certified by American Academy of Ozonotherapy, who  represents the Philippines on Ozone Doctors of the world.

Coupled with exercise, the stiffness in my shoulder will be reversed in no time.

W hat is Prolozone?

Developed and pioneered by Dr. Frank Shallenberger, Prolozone® is a connective tissue injection technique that combines the principles of neural therapy, Prolotherapy, and ozone therapy.

Prolozone is derived from the Latin word "proli" which means to regenerate, and the word "ozone".

Ozone is the most highly active form of oxygen in the universe and Prolozone uses the power of ozone/oxygen gas combined with procaine, anti-inflammatory medications, homeopathics, vitamins, minerals and proliferatives
to cause damaged tissues, weakened connective tissue or injured joints, and into areas of pain to regenerate. This injection therapy of collagen producing substances and ozone gas corrects the pathology of the disorder,  promotes complete healing, and gives  permanent end to pain.

How Does Prolozone Work?

The reason that some injuries completely heal and others don't has to do with circulation. In order for a damaged area of the body to regenerate and heal, it must have the critical elements that only the blood can provide: vitamins, minerals, and oxygen.

Of these, by far the most important is oxygen. Low levels of oxygen cause an accumulation of lactic acid, which is what causes pain. Prolozone works in three ways. First, homeopathic anti-inflammatory medications are injected into the injured area to reduce inflammation and swelling. This leads to increased circulation. Next, the area is treated with vitamins and minerals that are critical for healing.

And finally, the area is infiltrated with oxygen in the form of ozone. The result is that the tissues get what they need to heal. And as they heal, the circulation to the area is re-established, and the treatment is complete. The response to treatment varies from person to person, but most people only need from 3-5 treatments.
