The 11th Robinsons Supermarket’s Fit and Run Wellness Buddy Run last Sunday pushed through at the Parade Grounds of Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City despite occassional rain showers. Coaches Jim and Toni Saret prepped-up the runners with a work up sweat in the early hours.
Buddies, siblings, officemates, neighbors and all types of running pairs ran and finished at the same time for either 10K or 5K run competition in their bid to snag top prizes. The top prize for 5K race finishers is a trip for 2 to Siargao with 3D2B hotel accomodation. Second and third placers get P 8000 worth of Robinsons gift certificates. A HongKong trip for 2 with 3D2B hotel accomodation awaited 10K race podium finishers, while second and third placers get P 15,000 worth of Robinsons gift certificates.
Robinsons Supermarket’s wellness Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run provides a good opportunity to partner with friends and family, and run together towards the finish line. This annual wellness campaign aims to encourage more people to choose and live healthier lifestyles.
The event featured exciting booths with lots of freebies from Nestle Philippines, Johnson and Johnson, Fonterra, Unilab, Wyeth Nutrition, Unilever, International Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (IPI), Procter and Gamble, Abbott Nutrition, Foodsphere Inc., and Philusa. The different booths had interesting activities that guests, kids, and running enthusiasts enjoyed.
After crossing the finish line, the participants took home big grocery loot bags that have been the trademark of the
Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run through the years.
