Nissan Philippines unveils NV350, its fully-redesigned Caravan

After NV350 was made available in Japan 2 years ago and then globally in 140 countries, Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) has finally introduced the top-selling, 5th generation utilitarian van in the local market. NV350 Urvan's to its design and key features were overhauled to make it a strong contender in the commercial van class. This momentous event was held at the Marriot Hotel earlier today with comedienne/actress Giselle Sanchez as host.

The Urvan (referred to as Caravan in Japan)has been the leading choice for versatile commercial vehicle that can be used for business, family leisure and public transport as well. Known to be a great heavy-hauler, Nissan Urvan units were bought for its load space, reliability, low running costs and long life.

This latest installment of the legendary Nissan Urvan is expected to drive its sales higher with its best-in-class fuel efficiency. A shift indicator on the dashboard gives visual cues to the driver when to shift, thereby maximizing the power of the drive train without wasting a drop of fuel — definitely good news, in the face of fluctuating gas prices and unpredictable traffic conditions.

The NV350 Urvan will replace the long-serving Urvan model and NPI will be importing the NV350 Urvan units from Japan.

There three NV350 models that you can choose from depending on your needs. For instance, a 3-seater cargo (SRP 1,177,000) made for small business has ample load capacity with cargo space length of 3,050 mm. Its interior space is said to be the longest in the four-series grade for light commercial vehicles. The interior of the new NV350 takes advantage of the larger cargo space for both occupants and cargo.

The NV350 can carry up to 18 passengers (SRP 1,196,000) in comfort with a spacious, extra-wide aisle and seats. Passengers in the rear cabin of the all-new NV350 Urvan can enjoy the vaunted Nissan cool air experience via the individual vents mounted on twelve points off-center on the van’s ceiling. NV350 Urvan's smart cockpit's redesigned interior space affords spacious legroom and elbow room for driver and front passengers.

The steering wheel features a moveable range for tilt, while the driver’s seat allows him to adjust the extent of the slide distance, for maximum driving comfort.

“Shuttle operators prefer the Urvan for its proven reliability, passenger comfort and strong air-conditioning system, flexible loading and seating capacity for both cargo and passenger,” said Antonio Zara, President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines Inc.
