Summer Fun at Splash Island

The sun was hot and so we agreed to an invitation from Quitlong family to cool down at Splash Island. This 7-hectare waterpark is the first and largest water theme park in the Philippines. I availed of Splash Island one-year unlicard when it opened in the early 90s and was thrilled to be back.

We brought sunblock lotions and sun-protective hats to protect us from the scorching heat of the sun and from the damaging UV rays. You might want to check out the baby boy hats perfect for the summer.     A hat protects the head, hair, eyes, neck and face when the sun is strong.

We decided to get a nipa hut near the Water Wahoo, an ankle-deep wading pool with a kiddie slide and sprinklers. The playground nearby keeps the kids active and happy as the adults get good massage from its water spa sprinklers. This is actually one of the two swimming pools. The other pool is Agos Grandes.

Agos Grandes is the main pool with artificial waves. It is the only pool where you can enjoy swimming in and where inflatables / kayaks can be used. It looks like a real beach with a white sand shoreline and palm trees. It provides the ample space for enjoyment of beach volleyball.

Balsa River is a lazy-river style attraction where you can float on tubes along a circular path, propelled by a current of water.

Other amenities include Wall Climbing, Zipline Ride, Kiddie paddle boat and Kayaking Session.

Rio Montanosa is a family raft ride that I like. The Big Bam Boo is a thrilling covered tunnel ride that sends you into pure excitement. The King Pilipit is a swirling slide ride for two that drops you in a pool. The Magellan's Drop mimics a surf ride like no other! It was really worth the long line queue.

Overall, we enjoyed riding the different slides though it was exhausting climbing the stairs with inflatables in tow. How convenient would it be if these floats were made available at the top. It is also quite disappointing that these water attractions now follow a certain schedule.

So to maximize your enjoyment at the waterpark, take time to check out the ride schedules. No food and drinks are allowed inside the theme park. This is another thing that you should take note of. Other than these, the P299 per head entrance makes it a good deal.

    1. The chlorine pools are at low levels and is perfectly safe. I noticed that they have renovated their main shower areas for male and females. There are changing cubicles, lavatories, toilets benches and mirrors inside the female shower area. There are also small CRs strategically located around Splash Island with is maintained by janitors/janitress.

  8. We have these discount coupons for Splash Island but summer is almost over and we haven't got the chance to go there, lol. Three of my pamangkins got chicken pox, one after the other, with 2 weeks interval, right now, the last one seems to be completely healed, so we'll see.

  9. Php299 is not bad for all the exciting activities kids and adults alike can do at Splash Island. We haven't been to this place yet, but I know that my son will enjoy a waterpark experience like the one your family recently had.
