I have accepted the invitation to dine in again at Just Thai early this week. I had my degustation experience at Forbestown, Burgos Circle, BGC this time around.
This BGC branch is a lot bigger than the one in Molito, Alabang (see my previous Just Thai review HERE). Patrons may choose to dine in at the ground or second floor. Or enjoy their food outside al-fresco style
This upscale Thai restaurant has really beautiful Thai decors that adds to its exquisite ambience.
Chicken Pandan (P 290) comes with two choice of dips. I feel that the tamarind sauce goes well better with this Pandan (Screwpine) leaf-wrapped chicken over the sweet and sour sauce. Just Thai makes this Thai dish more pleasing to the palate by using Filipino seasonings. It has matchstick vegetable strips that add a dash of color to the dish.
The Grilled Pork in Tamarind Sauce (P 290) adds an exciting twist to the grilled liempo I love. The seasoned pork slices is matched with a sweet sauce made of tamarind, served on the side with julienned carrots and cabbages. A dash of diced red peppers and spring onions on the meat slices add crunch and bite to this dish. I so love the tamarind sauce!
Just Thai's flavors are intense but not overpowering. I'm not really into spicy foods since a mild version is oftentimes enough to sting me. As such I just enjoy viands that make you sweat kind of spicy that from time to time. If you have low tolerance like my, you'll be glad to know that customers can have the spice level of their dishes adjusted upon ordering.
Do try out Just Thai courses. You will love its family-style offerings with either hot or sweet and sour sauces. All servings are meant for sharing.

Squid in Garlic and Pepper (P 300) is succulent and tender.

Pla Rad Prik (P 395) is big-sized Tilapia butterflied and fried to a delightful crispiness |
Bagoong Rice (P 250) has green mango slices, pork bits, anchovies and scrambled egg. It's a filling dish in itself. |
