Del Monte Kitchenomics has been a trusted culinary partner in the Philippines. Kitchenomics has indeed been a household name through the years and it still continues on to provide consumers with delicious and easy-to-prepare, budget-friendly recipes sure to make family meals more enjoyable.
For this season, the Del Monte Kitchenomics Cooking Show viewers will be treated to new culinary destinations as the new cooking tandem of Chef Jackie and Carla Abellana shows you how to cook certain dishes and share tips. Kitchenomics is set to make cooking an enjoyable and funny experience as it engages active Facebook Fans as guests on our show and feature Del Monte Kitchenomics members’ Most Requested Recipes according to Susie Aquino, Senior Product manager for Del Monte Kitchenomics.
“We have always chosen brand ambassadors who are passionate about food and life. Carla Abellana is a wonderful actress. She loves to cook for her friends and family. She’s very eager to improve her cooking skills and learn new things in the kitchen. On the other hand, Chef Jackie Ang Po is our multi-awarded culinary expert. Since she’s a chef and a mom, she can easily relate to mothers on dilemmas and challenges they encounter in preparing food for their family. Both Carla and Jackie have a wholesome, family-oriented, approachable personality consistent with the Del Monte Brand. “We’re very happy to have them as part of the Del Monte Kitchenomics Family,” said Aquino.
Chef Jackie related that she fell in love with cooking because she considers working with food as an art form. "You deal with flavors, textures, then colors, then you can choose plates, placemats, drinks that go with the food and make a whole artistic presentation that people really appreciate."
When asked what she felt after finding out that she was chosen as DMK brand ambassador, Chef Jackie said "I am very excited to work with a brand that has been in my home since forever. I grew up watching Del Monte Kitchenomics. I copied the recipes on TV. Cut out magazines and can labels. I cooked with my mom – I am an only girl with 4 older brothers. Even when I got married and moved with my grandmother in law during the first 5 years of my marriage, Del Monte is still in our kitchen. Both home and professional kitchen. Never did I actually imagine that one day, People would be watching me do Del Monte Kitchenomics."
As for Carla Abellana, she shared "I was excited! Not only is it a blessing but an opportunity to learn how to cook basic, affordable, easy and quick dishes. I've always wanted to learn how to cook better. I knew it was going to be a fun learning experience."
Be sure to catch “Del Monte Kitchenomics” on GMA-7 starting February 19. Watch out for Chef Jackie and Carla Abellana every Wednesday and Saturday before “Eat Bulaga,” and every Sunday before “Sunday All Stars” on GMA 7.
