Mantis Album launched by Lally Buendia

Two years in the making, Lally Buendia aka "Domino" finally released her second major album "Mantis" May 17 SM North EDSA in her “unabashed attempt to come out and kick ass.”

MANTIS features her carrier single “I Love You, But I’m Driving.” While older brother, rock icon Ely Buendia has deep influences on her, Domino's such as “Veil”, “Eight Days” and “His Songs” are more pop rather than rock. In doing this album, Lally Buendia shared that she was inspired by real people. She expressed gratitude to Pat Tirano (TOI), Jerome Velasco (Daydream Cycle), Eric Perlas (COG), Ely Buendia (Pupil, The Oktaves), Jazz Nicolas (The Itchyworms), Mikey Amistoso (Ciudad, Hannah and Gabi), and other brilliant artists who made MANTIS possible.

On stage, Domino portrays her "fierce evil twin" who dons edgy, sexy leather outfits and platforms.  At home, she is the typical 33-year old mom who likes jeans, tees and sneakers.

She tells aspiring artists "to be true to oneself without compromising one's values".  Amateur singers "shouldn't give up when you're passionate about something", she added.

Mantis by Domino is available in leading record stores nationwide under MCA Music (Universal Philippines). It can be purchased in iTunes and www.mymusicstore.ph as well.
