Celebrate Earth Day Jam 2017 at Rizal Park this April 28



The annual Earth Day Jam celebration is planned for Friday in Rizal Park. Spend an evening in Manila's biggest park for this annual concert and kid- friendly festival.

The longest-running FREE environmental concert tribute in the country includes participation by music talents,  local policymakers, environment and development NGOs, industry executives and others.




A roster of talented and famous musicians unite once more for a noble cause — to help spread the awareness about the current status of the environment through the power of music.

This year, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will co-host the celebration and include teach-ins on environmental and climate change literacy. Aside from a party filled with meaningful music, participants can expect   engaging activities  such as a whole day exhibit co-presented by DENR with Peace and Equity Foundation, Bauman Electric Vehicles and Earthday Network Philippines.

DENR’s Environmental Management Bureau has also organized a kite making and kite flying activity with various workshops starting 3 PM. Afternoon Art Sessions in various medium will be supported by A-Plus Paints and moderated by renowned sculptor Agnes Arellano and performance artist Billy Bonnevie.

National Parks Development Committee, the events’ leading partners will be giving free historical tour from 3 to 5PM on that day. There will be a lights and sound presentation about the country’s National Hero Jose Rizal at 3-5 PM. Film showing will take place at the main stage starting 4 pm with concert starting at 6 PM.



“Many of our young people today have not been to Rizal Park. Earthday Jam 2017 will give them this opportunity to discover the 8th most beautiful park in the world ! With all these great OPM talents performing in such a beautiful and historical place—this jam will definitely be memorable for everyone who will come. On April 28, we will again shout to world and indicate our commitment to help in preserving the environment and keeping our country a nice place to live in,” enthuses Lou Bonnevie, founder of Earthday Jam and president of Earthday Jam Foundation.

“We are introducing and experimenting new things this year. With the help of the National Waste Management Bureau, we have included special interactive waste management segments in the show. We are also on our third year in giving the 'Gaia Awards' to several environmental luminaries and artists who has stood by us through the 17 years of Earthday Jam,” Lou shared.



This large-scale public event aims to encourage the youth to join the cause, and spread the message that the Earth’s treasure deserves to be celebrated and be preserved for future generations  at the same time.

Goldilocks holds its Junior Club Fun Day 2017



Joining in the Goldilocks Junior Club has its rewards and perks. Aside from product discounts, registered members get to join in the club activities.

In the recently concluded Goldilocks Junior Club Fun Day, the spotlight was on Filipino Street Games. The event theme aims to bring us back to the days when children benefit from active play. The traditional Filipino street games like tumbang preso, piko, sipa, pabitin are usually played outdoors.

"At a time when most kids' idea of fun is to be isolated in a virtual world of screens and games, Goldilocks aimed at reminding them about the joy of group interaction and physical play," according to Goldilocks Marketing Director Cherry Caluya. "These larong Pinoy form a delightful part of our Filipino customs, and today's children will greatly benefit from learning them," she added.




And the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia became festive as kids lined up for their turn at the various game stations. Each Goldilocks Junior Club member was given a free shirt, meals, a sling bag plus stubs that entitle one to other freebies (popcorn, ice cream and cotton candy). Free Care Bears cupcakes were also up for grabs.

Toddlers had fun at the coloring booth. Other #GoldilocksFunDay attendees had a  blast with the Decorate Your own Cake (DYC) session. 





There was a long queue at the Spin-A-Prize booth as kids try their luck to win exciting prizes!  Registered members and walk-ins at the Junior Club Fun Day participated in the Kadang-Kadang to win Kidzania tickets!



It was truly a the whole family affair as Goldilocks Bearkada entertaining both kids and adults with their dance performance!

New Jollibee TVC captures the tamis-linamnam deliciousness of a classic Jolly Spaghetti

Jollibee, the Philippines’ number one fast-food brand, has always been the dining destination of choice among Filipino kids and kids-at-heart.


The latest TV commercial for the best-selling Jolly Spaghetti, which began airing on March 26, 2017, features the British-Filipino child star Xia Vigor enjoying the product and how its timelessly appealing tamis-linamnam flavor will always bring out the jolly kid in everyone.




Xia is the latest celebrity endorser to join the ever-growing Jollibee family. She was given the official welcome in a media event held at Jollibee Biopolis Macapagal last April 22, 2017. How Women Empowerment Came to Being



With the last coffee date between Rowena Suarez and Joy Felizardo, they talked about these how women can come together to strengthen each other and how she's very willing to share her knowledge about money matters, budgeting, savings, starting out a business, keeping up a business and essential topics every woman needed to understand, to be able to gain freedom from stress, financial uncertainty, poverty, poor health, personal insecurities and many others. Out of that invigorating talk, they came up with Women Empowerment or WE, a series of events where we would invite society's movers and shakers, ordinary women who are doing well in their own endeavors, each learning from each other and supporting one another in endless possible ways. From that as well, we came up with our first event.

These series of events will be touching points on money matters and other things that matters to women. We want to embolden the idea of wealth management and make them a blessing to others as well, even in their own little ways. Their first talk came into fruition as bloggers and women starting up their business and broadening their networks came at Simple Lang at Ayala Triangle Gardens, entitled Women and Money.

The second series of talk, throw a Party Without Getting Broke, was all about DIY-ing a simple party and how budgeting and early planning can make any occasion-planning fail-proof.

#We Series 2 was held at Stew Comfort Food by Chef Michelle Adrillana at Addition Hills, Mandaluyong.

Apart from the lovely discussion of Rowena Suarez (@JustAskRo) on 6 Pillars of Wealth, we shared with Chef Michelle’s best-selling pasta dish, Quattro Formaggi and Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

The afternoon was also a delightful experience having to be the first bloggers to taste @SpringValleyPH Mango and Banana drink and @PoptopsPH.

South Korean firm's flagship LG G6 smartphone for 2017 is officially here

Last year, global technology innovator LG Electronics blew away the Mobile World Congress with its G5 smartphone, garnering the most awards among all the other mobile powerhouses. Because of its worldwide success, expectations of tech experts were high in this year’s MWC run, which launched its successor LG G6.
